(More customer reviews)This book prepared me for the 70-642 test. I downloaded evaluation copies of windows server 2008 and ran them in virtual server. I found that reading the ebook (included) was easier than reading the real book (I ended up doing both). After reading the book, doing the labs and taking the practice tests in custom mode (so I could review the answers) I was able to pass the test.
I noted only one typo in one of the practice tests so I would recommend this study guide.

(More customer reviews)This book does a good job covering the topics that it does cover. Be warned that it definitely does not cover everything you will see on the exam. Two examples of this are DHCP conflicts and DNS SPF records. Get this book and take the practice exam. Then go through all the links and articles provided in the explanation of the practice exam answers.
The labs in the book are great but when the author tells you to try out labs using other configurations for a topic...HE MEANS IT.

(More customer reviews)I got this book to help me pass the Windows 7 exam. After reading the book and doing all the exercises and practice test questions I got above 900 when I took the test. This is the first time I have taken a Microsoft exam since Windows XP so I am pretty happy with the result.
The practice tests are similar enough to the exam that they helped me pass. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that some of the exercises take a while and you really need a computer with 4 GB of RAM if you are going to do them using VMWARE. This was okay for me, but might not be good for others. I was able to do all the practices using the RC version of Windows 7 even though they are designed for the real version of Windows 7.
I do not know what book the other reviews are talking about as the text seemed to be clear and I noticed few mistakes. If you want to pass the exam this book will help you do that. If you want to have a book as a Windows 7 reference you should get the resource kit book.
