(More customer reviews)This is definitely not the right book if you do not know anything about wireless communications and you just want to have an idea of this topic. In order to understand most of the chapters you need quite a strong background on analog (AMPS) and TDMA systems(GSM). If this is the case, this book is helpful to understand all the main features of the IS-95 CDMA standard and the differences between this systems and the previously mentioned ones. The book is complete, well organized and structured even though sometimes it exceeds in details and becomes heavy to read. But if you are not interested in the mathematical parts you can easily skip to the following section without losing anything.
