In recent years with the massive rise in popularityof mobile and fixed electronic computing devices(PCs, PDAs, Laptops, Mobile phones, etc.), there hasbeen a growing demand for high-speed digitalwireless communication facilities. Bluetooth is apromising new technology that is aimed at supportingwireless connectivity among cell phones, headsets,PDAs, digital cameras and laptop computers.Initially, Bluetooth was proposed as a replacementto cables, but it evolved as a solution for formingPersonal Area Networks. After comparing IEEE 802.11it is observed that Bluetooth is more secure due toits short range. A model of Mobile Sony Ericssonz600 was studied in which connectivity behavior ofBluetooth environment has been analyzed.
