(More customer reviews)There are technical mistakes that conflict with information in the Cisco Networking Academy Program Fundamentals of Wireless LANs Companion Guide. Book is helpful in reviewing, but not very well thought out. Mainly the book is comprised of a short chapter summery, reveiw questions, and vocabulary term fill-ins. If this book was edited better I'd like it. Not worth $22, but luckly I only paid $14.

The demand for wireless courses that prepare students for wireless certification and the core knowledge of wireless equipment and technology has grown significantly within the past year. The Fundamentals of Wireless LANs course will cover the basics of wireless LANs and prepare the student for the Cisco Wireless LAN Support Specialist designation.
The Engineering Journal and Workbook supplements the online curriculum for a fully integrated learning package. The first part of the journal provides an overview of wireless networking technologies, both fixed and mobile, terrestrial and satellite, wireless LANs, and wireless last loops. The next section focuses on wireless clients, access points, and the corresponding Cisco Aironet products. The last section of the book pulls together the information in the previous sections and covers the entire process of designing, planning, and installing a wireless LAN. The Journal includes additional exercises and focus questions, as well as the opportunity to begin a best-practice journal for the workplace.
