(More customer reviews)This is an outstanding book that presents an analysis of wireless access vs wireline access. It is extremely complete as it is obvious that George Calhoun is a true expert on the subject. The book is filled with useful formulas to derive an analysis wireline vs wireless, introduces simple economic models, network topology models and history of the evolution of the local loop. Moreover, it has many useful references. Overall, I strongly recommend this book as it is an excellent reference for economics engineering of the local loop (whether wireline or wireless). The only problem that I foresee is that the last edition is from 1992, so this is a 10 years old book and some of the issues that could have been true then are outdated now and others proven to be wrong.
