Wireless.... is a suspenseful, adrenaline-inducing time travel real page-turner book! It thrums. This is far from your typical "futuristic" novel. It is not just a 344 pages of generic SF setting but there is also a good solid plot filled with intrigue and danger that drives this novel. The characters really come alive and you'll even feel some edge of your seat. There are a lot of heavy action/gore in some of the chapters. This new author has got all the elements just right for a really fun read!
I highly recommend Mr. Johnson's book. I loved it; I don't usually write reviews because many books haven't grabbed me like Wireless! Whether or not you guys also like it will depend on your expectations: Futuristic technology or a blend.... I confess, I usually love to read hard SF and Wireless is a book with strong main characters - a good time travel - in a "world" that will take you away from everyday futuristic settings. This got a rare blend of plot driven and character driven focus. However, if you are expecting this book to be "straight" SF you will probably be disappointed but, if futuristic, action adventure, heart wrenching time travel is your cup of tea then, hey, you gotta read Wireless. It is a one-nonstop adventure ride.
You'll see that the action starts immediately, flowing through to the last line. The reader will love how the book starts and ends, signifying that the story has come full circle providing plenty of mystery and twists to keep us guessing as to what will happen next. Though there are some slower moments during the journey in the middle of the book, but the plot continuously grows and changes with the characters, satisfying the readers.
Wireless..... will appeal to fans of science fiction and young adults. There is a strong storyline in this book beautifully developed characters that is bound to charm fans of these genre.

Wireless... in the Fabric of Time is a story about a young man's life becoming derailed by forces beyond his control. Like so many young people, Von Muir Carmichael has high expectations and a great plan, but life has something else in store for him. A college student riding the wave of wireless technology, Von doesn't remember life before electronic devices. His wireless reality is as natural to him as the shoes on his feet. He sees the wireless world as his lifeline. Even as he sleeps, he stays connected, with his Bluetooth headset device attached to his ears. Being awakened by late-night text or IM's is the expected norm. When Von doesn't have access to his electronics, he feels cut off from the internet' the only world he knows. His love of technology is the common thread between his youth and his future as a securities analyst specializing in software technologies. All he needs to do to graduate college and start his 'real" life is e-mail the final draft of his thesis to his professor' But in a strange twist of fate, the tangled nest of cables in his dorm room short-circuits, causing his hand-held scanner to open a portal of time into which he is zapped along with his BlackBerry PDA, video-phone, and iPod. When he awakens, he is accused of murder. The time is 1908, the Edwardian era. The place is Exeter College, Oxford University, England: the upper-crust, well-bred, aristocratic, the oldest British university. Von has made a hundred-year jump back to a time when cell-phone towers, broadband, and wi-fi technology have not even been conceived. Wireless's story line intertwines with an adventurous plot, a twist to everyday lives that adds fantasy and thrills, and explores the effects of the dark side of technology on a promising young man. Wireless is a science fiction adventure novel that will resonate universally with teens, young adults, and those who understand the love of technology.--This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.
