Personal Communication Services (PCS) is the name given to the telecommunications technology that Cable TV providers are planning to offer as telephone services along with the video services already being provided. Combining both technical and marketing aspects of PCS as well as the regulatory and business perspectives effecting the implementation of PCS, the author focuses on the problems unique to PCS and offers advice for overcoming these hurdles. This book is illustrated with two case studies and discussions on converging technologies such as ISDN.
